Select channels may occasionally black out certain games, events, TV shows, and movies. Blackout rules are determined by the leagues, sports associations, content owners, and networks that purchase the rights to these broadcasts. Our agreements sometimes require us to blackout content for various reasons. These reasons include sports blackouts based on eligible viewing areas, content blackouts based on streaming rights, and device specific blackouts, such as content on mobile phones.
Additionally, sometimes you can't stream an event because someone else has exclusive rights to it. In these instances, you'll see alternative content and/or on-screen messaging.

Double check to make sure your game isn't on another channel
Sometimes games are blacked out on a local channel or regional sports network, but not the national broadcast. If you see a blackout message when trying to view an NBA, NHL, or MLB game, be sure to check all available channels for your game. National broadcasts for each league are typically available on the following channels:
NHL: NBC, NBCSN, USA, CNBC, Golf Channel, NHL Network
MLB: ESPN, FS1/FS2, FOX, TBS
NBA: TNT, ESPN, NBA TV

Check alternate channels
Most of our available regional sports networks offer alternate channels for times when multiple events in the same region are scheduled at the same time. For example, if you’re in Kansas City and want to watch the Royals on FOX Sports Midwest, and that night a Cardinals game is scheduled on the primary, you would need to tune to an alternate channel to see the Royals game. Click here for more information.
Alternate channels are usually located toward the end (far right or bottom, depending on if you are using channel or grid view) of your guide.

Check your IP address
Depending on your Internet Service Provider (ISP), your IP address could show you in a different location, which could cause you to receive blackout messages in error.
