We are working on adding more DVR features every day. To help us accomplish this, we want to hear from you! Please send feedback to DVR@sling.com.

Check below for more information on Sling TV's Cloud DVR:

What devices can I get Cloud DVR on?

Cloud DVR is available on all devices except  the Xfinity X1 platform. Click here for more information on devices that support Sling TV.

How many shows can I record at once?

Cloud DVR users will experience conflict-free recording by breaking free from tuners and conflicts that restrict you from recording several programs at once. Record one thing while watching another, or record everything while watching something else.

What is my capacity?

Cloud DVR offers customers 50 hours of Cloud DVR storage for $5 per month. Cloud DVR Beta users have access to 100 hours of Cloud DVR storage. To see and manage your storage capacity, go to the end of the Recordings ribbon on My TV and select My DVR. While you always have the freedom to delete recordings to manage your storage, we will make room for new recordings by deleting your old recordings as you reach capacity, starting with your oldest watched recording.

How can I add Cloud DVR?

Select customers can add Cloud DVR right from their Sling TV app. Click here for more information. If this feature isn't yet available on your device, you can add DVR by logging in to your account at sling.com and selecting Change Subscription.

If you signed up for Sling TV on your Amazon device, you can add Cloud DVR to your account through the Sling TV app; click here for additional details.

Can I buy more storage?

Not at this time.

Can I pause live TV on every channel now?

Cloud DVR will allow you to pause any recording of a live program. Cloud DVR functionality is not available on all channels.

What channels can I record with Cloud DVR?

DVR functionality is available for all live content, except on the following channels:

  • All Disney and ESPN channels
    • This includes Freeform, Disney Channel, Disney XD, Disney JR, ESPN, ESPN2, ESPN 3, ESPN Deportes, ESPN Goal Line, ESPN Bases Loaded and the SEC Network.
  • On-demand only channels, including Local Now

Can I save/protect my recordings?

You can choose to protect your recordings to keep them from being auto-deleted.

Can I extend the time scheduled to record?

We don't currently offer the ability to extend the scheduled recording time, so if you're recording an event that may run long, such as an awards show or sporting event, you may want to record the next program in the schedule so you can view your event in it's entirety. Click here for more information on recording shows.

Can I download my recordings for offline viewing?

Recordings cannot be viewed offline.

When will I be able to get DVR?

We plan to continue to expand access to Cloud DVR to all of our supported devices and to additional customers throughout the coming months. Check back with us for updates!

Can I record local channels?

Select customers using an AirTV Player can record local over-the-air programming. Click here for more information. For other devices, you will be able to record local channels that you receive through Sling TV, however, you will not be able to record local channels you receive via an over-the-air antenna.
