You now have two different options when searching for shows in your Guide: Grid Guide or Channels Guide. The first option you will see is the Grid Guide, and the second is the Channels Guide.
Check out how to use each to quickly find your favorite shows, movies, and sports.
Important Note: We recently made some changes to the experience on Apple TV devices (which will be coming soon to others). For more information on these changes, click here.
The first row for Grid Guide includes options for the guide view and a date option to see what is coming up to a week in advance. Select the date to access this feature.
To navigate the grid, move up, down, left, or right to see what's currently streaming or coming up on each channel, up to seven days in advance. To see a description of a program, highlight it in the guide, then select it.
On select devices, you'll find your favorite channels at the top of the guide with a heart icon. You can add or remove favorite channels from the My TV screen. Click here for more on using My TV.
To launch guide filters, select the Guide icon on the top of the screen, or select where you see All Channels displayed.
You can filter your channels by genre, including Sports, Kids, Lifestyle, Premium and more. If you set up favorite channels on your My TV screen, you can filter by these, as well.
To view available live and video on-demand content from each channel, select a channel icon
Selecting a channel from the Grid Guide or selecting the Channels tab will populate the original Sling TV guide view, or Channel Guide.
Video on-demand content will be located beneath the Schedule ribbon.
Your original guide screen will provide the following three ribbons: channels by icon, the current Schedule, and any video on-demand content.
Scroll right on the Schedule ribbon to see any future content, or scroll to the left to view past airings using our Replay feature for previously aired content in your schedule bar. For more information on the Replay feature, click here.
All video on-demand content will be displayed below the current schedule, labeled as On Demand, Available Now, or with genre-specific names such as Drama or Comedy. Scroll right to see what's available!
Note: The variety of video on-demand content, as well as length of availability, varies by channel.
To exit either guide view, simply select the channel or program you'd like to watch.
Additionally, many devices offer a Mini Guide feature, so you can see what else is on or coming up while still enjoying your show. To access the mini guide, while viewing a program, select, click, or swipe up on your device. Here, you can scroll through your filters, channels, or schedule ribbon to see everything else that's on!
